So what is periarthritis, what are the causes and symptoms of periarthritis? How can we prevent periarthritis of the shoulder?

What are the rehabilitation exercises for periarthritis of the shoulder?

1. Pull back towel

2. Pendulum movement

Standing beside the wall or table, put your pain-free hand on the wall or table as a handrail, relax your upper limbs, and swing the painful limbs back and forth gently, do it 20 times in a group and do five groups in a row. As the condition improves, the range of exercise can be increased.

3. Wall climbing

Face the wall, raise your painful arm, put your fingers against the wall, and then slowly climb your fingers up the wall, from the low position to the apex, repeat this action ten to fifteen times.

4. Left and right lifting

Stand with your feet slightly apart, holding a stick or umbrella in both hands. Raise the stick slowly to the left and right until you reach the maximum range, keep your elbows and wrists straight, complete the left and right once, and repeat the action ten times.

5. Stretch your front arm

The front and rear feet are separated, facing the corner of the wall, with both hands held up to 90 degrees. Lean your body forward to feel the stretch, hold for five seconds, and repeat the action ten times.

6. Lie down and lift

Lie on your back, hold a short stick or umbrella in both hands, stretch your hands straight up and head toward your head, and repeat the action twenty times.

Data show that from the onset of periarthritis to cure, it usually takes one year. In the onset of periarthritis of the shoulder, in addition to seeking medical treatment early, it is recommended to do more stretching exercises to avoid soft tissue atrophy, reduce pain, maximize shoulder function, and improve patients' quality of life.
